1 Medical Authorization & Emergency Treatment
The registered competitor (or their parent/legal guardian if under 18 years of age) grants full power and authority to tournament directors, head referees, event medical staff, and certified athletic trainers to evaluate, treat, and administer emergency medical care or first aid treatment, subject to licensed professional advice.
Emergency medical care may be initiated regardless of whether immediate telephone contact with specified emergency contacts has been established. This medical release becomes legally active upon registration submission and persists throughout all tournament rings, award ceremonies, and division bouts.
2 Assumption of Athletic Responsibilities & Inherent Risk
Martial arts tournaments involve active physical competition, dynamic motion, and full-speed technique execution. Bruises, scratches, sprains, joint strains, bone fractures, dental trauma, and sports concussions are inherent sporting possibilities. Competitors understand and assume all physical risks associated with participation.
By entering this tournament, participants, guardians, and instructors completely release and hold harmless Martial Arts America LLC, the All Valley Martial Arts Championship committee, ring judges, officiating referees, volunteers, facility property owners, and fellow competitors from all liability or damages, except when solely and intentionally caused by criminal gross misconduct.
3 Tournament Registration & Bracket Scheduling
Entry fees guarantee tournament division bracket inclusion, ring coordination, certified referee staffing, and official commemorative awards. Athletes must report to the tournament staging ring a minimum of 1 hour prior to their scheduled division time. Failure to appear when division rings are called may result in forfeit without compensation.
4 No Refunds Policy
All tournament registration fees, competitor entry fees, division fees, spectator passes, and coach credential fees are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances once processed.
Because bracket seeds are calculated, rings allocated, athletic staff contracted, and custom championship awards ordered well in advance of tournament day, no cash, credit card, or payment refunds, chargebacks, or transfers will be issued for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Competitor personal schedule conflicts or inability to attend
- Disqualifications due to rule infractions or mandatory uniform / equipment failure
- Missed ring staging calls or late competitor arrivals
- Division bracket mergers or adjustments necessitated by competitor safety or attendance
- Weather delays or transportation difficulties
Medical Exception Notice: In the rare case of a severe pre-existing injury or documented acute medical condition occurring prior to tournament check-in and verified in writing by a licensed medical physician, tournament directors reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to issue an official event credit voucher toward the subsequent All Valley Championship.
5 Digital Signature & Electronic Legal Consent
By completing online registration, checking the legal waiver agreement, or submitting a digital signature pad signature, the registrant certifies under penalty of law that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms in full. Under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN), digital acknowledgments carry the full legal weight and effect of a pen-and-paper signature.
